My first night i Lebanon, while I was driving with my friends from a restaurant, we saw a bus with the writing, Babe bus. "It couldn’t be" was my initial though, but when it stopped at a military check point and the light was turned onm I dropped my jar. The buss was filled with East European prostituted. Over 50 girls in a buss going to the night life of Beirut
I was chocked and my reaction was to laugh in disbelief. We passed yet another buss filled with prostitutes, a woman looked intense at me as we drove by, her face was without any expression of emotion, driving straing to the perverted capitalism of human trade.
I don’t laugh anymore. In radius of 100 meters of where I live in Hamra, there is probably more brothels than I can count. I see prostitution every day.
One of my friends have even recommended my places to go, talking about the girls as they were goods, naturally I told him, if he did not chance his attitude he would no longer be a friend of mine.
Even the hotel I live is a notorious whorehouse. I spent time in the lobby, checking my mail on their wifi and since I like talking to the clerks and receptionists. When I moved in I looked at a beautiful girl talking to the receptionist. Is she a friend of yours I asked, he answered yes, you want me to go get her for you.. I became angry, but went calm and told him about moral standards.
One day while sitting in the lobby checking my mail a woman I high head and too much make up sat down next to me. I hesitated talking to her, but finally said. Hi – how are you.. Her accent was Russian. She asked about my profession and I told her what I was doing I Lebanon, there was a pause after I was done explaining, she smiled and then started to check her phone and giving me a nervous smile. I could not as her about her profession, I knew and I could sense her nervousness of me asking her, so I asked her about her home and avoided to ask her. The elevator went “pling” and she went pale at first. A short bold man in his fifties came out. She rose from the sofa and turned into another person with a smile and a giggle while she walked with shaking hips towards him, kissing him on the cheek and went into the elevator.
Nervously looking at the elevator
I saw her regularly among many
I do not understand why men buy women, they must be extremely lonely in a mad way, since having sex with a woman that only does it for money must be the most depressing thing a man can do. An sexual action without any empathy of the prostitutes rents outs her body as meat of pleasure.
Its really a paradox that Prostitution is legal in Lebanon, while pornography is not.
I guess its a cold money issue.

Sikkert helt OK at du linker!
ReplyDeleteDu stiller et veldig godt spørsmål om porn. Dobbeltmoral er ganske spredt i Libanon dessverre. Men allikevel håper at du trives hvis du er fremdeles der.
